How It Works

Step 1

Complete a short form so our team can confirm your country, age, childcare background and preferred timing.

Step 2

Create your profile and tell potential host families about your background, childcare experience, interests and reasons for becoming an au pair.

Step 3

Submit your childcare references, personal references, photos, video introduction and required documents.

Step 4

Discuss your experience, expectations and readiness for the program. We will also review the role and help you prepare for matching.

Step 5

Review suitable family opportunities and speak with them about their children, schedule, duties, location, driving needs and household lifestyle.

Step 6

A placement is confirmed only when you and the host family agree that the arrangement is suitable. Complete final program steps and payment.

Step 7

Complete your visa, flights, insurance and required documentation. Review predeparture information and prepare for your placement.

Step 8

Begin with arrival accommodation, orientation, first-aid training and practical preparation before joining your host family.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. We recommend applying approximately four to six months before your preferred departure date to allow time for application review, host-family matching, visa processing and travel arrangements.

Some applications may move more quickly, but timing depends on your documentation, preferences, host-family availability and visa processing. Avoid positioning six weeks as the standard turnaround.
